University of Hawaii The purpose of this article is to examine the literature on intimate partner homicides (IPH). The review begins by describing the factors, magnitude, and consequences associated with IPH, focusing on studies from the United States. Second, the article discusses the public health implications of preventing IPH and the limitations associated with the IPH literature. Last, the article concludes with recommendations of IPH in terms of practice, policy, and research.
